Lil C I can do without very much thank you. Just get to the point already and don’t make your answer hard to understand. Now I know I’m not intellectual giant but I have a hard time understanding what he’s trying to say. I hated Mary’s do. Thank goodness the show isn’t about that. And why the hell is she always looking over at Nigel? I don’t get it or her and no Trav…she’s not growing on me yet. That’s all about her.
I was so disappointed in Jason and Caitilin. They were so much better last week and I’m worried about,mainly Caitlin going home or at least being in the bottom three.
Karla and Jonathan seemed to get themselves together this week and did an excellent job. I guess being in the bottom three and almost going home is a real big wake up call.
Melissa and Ade I really liked their dance. I thought it was the dance of the night. Both of them are so powerful and just right on it.
Janette and Brandon were my other favorites of the night. That split that she did was awesome. I was sad that she had that little mix up towards the end but I thought she did nice on her recovery from it and just kept right on going.
Asuka and Vitolio left me cold for some reason. I just didn’t enjoy that waltz at all. I couldn’t connect with them.
Another disappointment for me was Ashley and Kupono. They were so much better last week. Maybe it’s just the style of dance that they did.
Kayla and Max were a let down to me as well. Again, maybe it was the music or something but I don’t think they did the job like last week.
Jeanine and Phillip I thought were good but out of all the dances I think this was the worst one by far tonight. He didn’t look like he was into very much to me for some reason. She carried the dance.
The rest were all good. Nothing outstanding but I think good enough to sail through to next week.
Will be interesting to see who goes tonight. I don’t think it’s going to be a couple however. I think it’s going to split and Caitlin and Phillip I think you both are in the hot seat.
Trav’s Thoughts: and cue music…
well my favorite was the waltz with sauka and vitolio… i thought it was so graceful and well done. yes my least favorite was the last dance – jeanine and phillip…. they looked like they just didnt want to do it…. other than those 2 i thought all the dancers were good. i cant believe how good they are. that tango was excellent. i cant remember their names tho. cant wait for tonight. i agree with you thom… i think caitlin is good enough to stay but phillip has to go….

I watched this again…my fav’s of the night were Janette and Brandon. They were just the bomb all the way through…
I always have a hard time forecasting results for this show. It’s the search for America’s favorite dancer, and you just never know how the fans are going to vote.
Phillip’s fans could come out in force to back him up after a rough night. And sometimes no matter how good a dancer is, if they haven’t grabbed a following that is willing to pick up the phone, they’ll go.
So we shall see what happens tonight!

I am so mad I could spit nails. Of course FOX went and did the same thing here it does with American Idol. It runs over and the DVR just stops recording. So I got to see Ashley go and then they started on the boys and saved Jason and poof…done recording. I cannot stand how they do this or allow these shows to go over their time slots. I guess next week I will have to make sure that I set it for the next program as well. So the boy was Max…I was sort of shocked that he went especially after last weeks performance but there again, you have to look at this weeks. What I really like is how Nigel gives them such constructive criticism. He makes them feel good I think and even if he critiques them it’s in a positive way. The one thing I like about this show is that the final decision is made by the judges and not the voting public. I think that’s how it should be even in American Idol. Interesting those little dances they do by themselves.

I’m surprised to read that the show ran over in your time zone. I checked with my east coast pals and they said it ended right on time. And it ended right before 10pm in my time zone too.
And as to the cuts, the judges only have a say in who to save until Top 10. Then it’s only fan votes that decide the cuts.
Well it did and I was not a happy camper at all LOL. Ah…so at the top ten then it is all back to a popularity contest basically. I was so hoping they would continue the way they are doing it all the way through. I really enjoy it
one thing i didnt know and i think this is what they said.. someone helps those dancers with that last little dance they do to try to stay on the show… at least thats what i think i read. so far i am sooooooo unbelievably unattached to any of those kids, it doesnt really make ANY difference to me who goes and who stays. some of them are cuter than others but that is neither here nor there. and i agree with you that nigel is so respectful and kind to all the contestants, but i think all those judges are. they always try to give the kids helpful hints on how to do better. i think AI would be a better show if they would model it after SYTYCD… and separate paula and simon… LOL
That makes sense to me because they have a choreographer through the main numbers so I would assume they would be doing the same with that 1 minute dance. I bet they all have to practice one just in case

I just thought I would address your comment about the dancers’ solos. Most of the time they put together their own choreography for their solos. It’s their time to really present the moves and music that they do well. Some of them, such as Evan, might get help from family or friends. But to my knowledge, and I’ve been following this show since it first aired 4 years ago, the kids don’t have professional help putting together their solos.
There was one time where Wade Robson choreographed a special solo dance for each of the kids to dance separately, but that was for a specific charitable cause.

thanks for the info travis…. i always thought that the kids did their own, but i thought i heard one of the judges say they had help from pro choreographers. must have been my ears that heard wrong…. i do love the show… it beats DWTS all to hell…. these kids have such raw talent and their dancing is so wonderful… i have watched it since benjie won and he was the best ever…. anyway, i enjoy your comments and hope you will continue to participate in this til the end of the season…. thanks for your input…
