Saturday Wordzzle Challenge – #56

wordbutton2sm3

Each week Raven Views From Raven’s Nest gives you 10 words/phrases to create a 10 Word Challenge and then up to about 8 words/phrases to do a Mini Challenge. The object is to create a paragraph using all 10 words/phrases and then the 8 or so words/phrases to do another paragraph called the Mini Challenge. Then if you want you can do a Mega Challenge by using all the words/phrases. It’s all up to you. If you click the picture above it will take you to Raven’s instructions. Post them on your blog and then make sure you drop by Raven’s Blog and put your name on the Mister Linky so the other particpants can visit you. You can even win A Dragon Award :) (Dragon’s Lair)

This weeks words are:

Ten Word Challenge: partition, imagination, salvation, mirror image, green power, highway, roasting marshmallows, serial killer, autograph, cartography

Mini Challenge: cell phone, Big Mac, panther, legendary, poets corner

So here we go:

Ten Word Challenge:

Dean was so into cartography that he decided to get the autograph of a serial killer, known as the roasting marshmallows highway killer, because the green power of his Prius was a mirror image of the killer’s car that he thought was his salvation, which as it turned out, was just in his imagination and became a partition away from reality when he realized he was thinking of the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile.

Mini Challenge:

In the city of Xoimjuity there lived a poor slave girl who had a huge desire to be in poets corner because she thought she could write a Quivel that would be best in all the Land. The poor slave girl knew that the most legendary Quivel of all times was that of a panther written by one Big Mac and if she could think of an animal to write about she would be legendary also.

The poor slave girl one day, working her fingers to the bones sweeping up the town square, saw the Quivel writer on his cell phone and new at that moment her animal would be Filet-O-Fish.

Mega Challenge:

Known for acing all the ski slopes on the circuit, Hans and Hansett knew that they would be sought after to give interviews every where they went. Growing up they wanted to partition themselves away from the others on the circuit and with age they did get  better hence the more sought after they were. It was beyond their wildest imagination. Every where they looked the press were there and pelted them with a birage of questions. Their salvation: that their other two siblings, Hanseet and Hanseel, mirror images of Hans and Hansett would bear the brunt of the questions one day. It would be sweet rache they both thought.

Riding in the green power of their SAAB down the highway, visions of roasting marshmallows in their head, the two came upon Serial Killer Pointe. They knew that someone would ask for their autograph and say that they were studying cartography. It had become a way of life.  But alas what was before them when they reached the Pointe?  Hanseet and Hanseel. Each on their cell phone, most likely calling McDonalds to order a Big Mac. The duo also noticed there were a ton of reporters around them. Was this the beginning of gumpings for the two and would Hanseet and Hanseel now begin to be bombarded by the reporters? It had to be. It was as if the two were chased by a panther and the fright had devoured their legendary skiing abilities.

Relieved Hans and Hansett turned their car around and headed towards poets corner to enjoy the peace and tranquility that they so longingly desired. Both smiling as they arrived, Hans and Hansett were happier than they could remember in a long time and knew that Hanseet and Hanseel were in for some long days and night and by all accounts were now the acers of the ski slope.

My favorite was the mini challenge. I love the ambition in that little slave girl.

    • Thom says:

Thanks Quilly…after reading all the comments no one has picked up on something that I did on purpose with these stories. I’m sorta surprised by that. Hint: Someone did something like I did last week and I just took it a little step further :)

  2. Dr. John says:

I enjoyed all three. You do have talent. I doubt that many will understand your using gumpings, rache, and acing but I do.
This is such fun. Thank you for adding to it.

    • Thom says:

Why Dr. John thanks a great deal. And your comments on Devon’s post this week…I so hope I get it right next week cuz you’ve put an idea in my head now so beware. When I see words on your site that are new I try and remember them also…my vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds :)

  3. Akelamalu says:

I think the little slave girl’s ‘Filet-o-fish’ is going to be a winner! :0

  4. bettygram says:

    I enjoyed all of them.

  5. Fandango says:

Dragons love fish so we like the second story. Though getting all ten words in one sentence is rather good.
The last story shows so much imagination.
Just one think don’t use words from Dr. John’s blog it sells his head and makes him think he is important.

  6. Dianne says:

becoming a partition away from reality is such a wonderful way to describe the inner workings

I loved Hans and Hanslett and am very happy for them

    • Thom says:

Mahalo Dianne. I’ve learned that one thing that is great is coming up with stories you can make names anything you want…And I think I got lucky with the partition away from reality :)

  7. Raven says:

Nice work. The mini was my favorite.

  8. Nessa says:

I’m not sure which was funnier, but I love the name Hansett.

  9. Rich says:

Liked all 3, but the slave girl mini was my favorite also.

  10. Carletta says:

I liked them all Thom – from the poor little slave girl and her upcoming Filet-O-Fish to the green power of a Prius but most of all to the mega – my favorite.
I’m wishing I could call McDonald’s when the Big Mac attack happens. :)
    Fun reads.

  11. dawn says:

Hans and Hansett? Now that is funny :)

  12. Jeff B says:

Now I’m singing, “Oh, if I were an Oscar Mayer wiener….”

  13. finding pam says:

    Hi Thom,

Nice stories, but I liked the filet of fish best because I can’t get that silly song out of my mind. “Give me my filet of fish, give me my filet…so annoying yet so catchy!

Congratulations on your second award from the dragon’s lair. Very well deserved and I am happy for your honor.

Thank you for becoming a follower and for the lovely words of encouragement that you commented on my blog. Nice to meet you and I will add you as my new friend, too.

    • Thom says:

LOL..yeah I remember that also. But what stuck in my craw even more was “My balony has a frist..Its OSCAR…LOL. You are most welcome and thank you for adding me too. Thanks Internet :)
