When I thought about this all I could think of, being from Hawaii, was the beautiful Bird of Paradise Flower.

What I didn’t know was that there is a Bird of Paradise that is an actual bird. I found this on YouTube and enjoyed it so I thought I would share it.
So I learned something new which is always good. I hope you enjoyed this bird video as well as I did.

thom, i thought that video of the bird was absolutely fascinating. thanks for posting it. do you remember when you were here and we read on the runner on tv that ALL the birds in HI are in danger of becoming extinct???? wouldnt it be terrible for that to happen to that funny bird? and have you heard anything more about that? and the bird of paradise flower is just gorgeous. i enjoy your blogs so much… what a wonderful son you are…. your bird-brained mother on monday xoxoxoxoxoxox
