Homeland ~ Week of 16/16/12 (Season Finale)
Boy I sure as hell didn’t see that explosion happening and I also didn’t see Quinn not killing Brody. Starting with Quinn I really liked how he decided not to do that and go back and threaten Estes. I knew he would be in his house and I really enjoyed that scene between the two of them. So I think that Quinn and that other Arab guy that they worked with could have been behind that explosion but I don’t see why they would then frame Brody by putting the bomb in his car. Quinn knew that all the information Brody gave was right on and there was nothing new Brody could be hiding. I thought that until Carrie, who I just loved in this after they got past the cabin scenes. The relationship seemed forced to me then and the episode started off quirky because of it if you ask me. But then when the explosion happened and Brody said that about his car and Carrie figured out it could be Brody behind it it really picked up. I think Brody could be behind all of this still and he is still working for Nazir’s network. I’m glad Carrie didn’t go with him but helped him get a head start through her connections to get out of the country. Her reasoning seemed plausible enough that she wanted to clear his name but on the other hand maybe her being the CIA agent she is think’s that Brody is behind it and wants to nail it. Saul was so true when he said that she is one of the smartest and fucking dumbest person he knows. So true. I liked Nazir’s funeral, so I guess he really is dead, and it makes me wonder if Saul might be behind the bombing to get even with Estes. Seems far fetched with his wife calling and saying she is coming home. Maybe she will be on more next year and she could has a connection with Saul and planned the explosion also without Saul knowing. I still don’t think we know who the mole is in the CIA. What I also couldn’t help but think, getting back to Brody, was when he told Carrie we could be happy, couldn’t we? That just seemed odd to me. Good way to get rid of Finn, thank goodness and Estes. I loved that ending and can’t wait to hear what Carrie’s explanation is for her disappearance.
that has to be the best finale ever. i swear to god that was the most realistic explosion ever! !!!!! i wasnt expecting that at all. evenwhen brody said they moved his car i didnt get it. so many dead…. finn and the mother. thought it was sort of funny in a bad way that the vice presidents wife had the murderer escort her to her seat. i was impressed by quinn but i dont trust anyone on that show so i still think he is bad. i too was shocked quinn didnt shoot brody. i hated him and carrie being together. i hope she was just playing him to get him out of the country. loved the way they gave nazir his special funeral and when it showed him underwater i thought sure there would be a little submarinethere to pick him up… lol. the only person i liked was brodys wife. glad saul ‘s wife is coming back but i am suspicious about that too. great ending to a great season and cant wait for it to return..
